Record number of cleantech deals in the first quarter of 2010
01.04.2010, Mercury News: The first quarter of 2010 saw a record number of cleantech investments: 180 deals totalling $1.9 billion globally, according to a preliminary tally released Wednesday by the Cleantech Group and Deloitte.

But while the number of deals is a new record — the previous high was 165 deals in the fourth quarter of 2009 — the total value is still $1 billion off the peak, which was in the third quarter of 2008, and the deals are much smaller in size.
